Located in western San Bernardino County, Chino has a population of over 70,000 people. Once known for its agriculture and dairy industries, Chino has become a well balanced city with a strong business base and growing residential neighborhoods. As the dairies have moved away there has been tremendous growth in residential developements including The Preserve and College Park, which will add thousands of new residential units when built out. Chino is also home to the new Chaffey College Chino Center, a full service campus including student services, a bookstore, a library and sixteen classrooms. The city of Chino has many parks and facilities including batting cages at Ayala Park, Carolyn Owens Community Center which has rental usage available, and a splash pad at Monte Vista Park. In addition to these city facilities, the County of San Bernardino has Prado Regional Park with fishing, tent and RV camping and sports fields. El Prado Golf Course has two 18 hole championship golf courses, driving range and pro-shop and banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 300 people. Prado Olympic Shooting Park, home of the 1984 Olympic shooting events, has rifle, pistol and shotgun facilities and host corporate events and competitions throughout the year.
